Finding Friends, Followers, and Repeat Visitors

Do you find your self wondering why others seem to get more traffic then you do? Have you been asking yourself over and over why this seems to be the case? I use to and sometimes still do wonder why and these are questions that you and I must continually be asking ourselves, while we are working with our sites and our landing pages.

Why does this guy get more traffic than I? Remember always there are many different tactics to getting traffic. Some honestly and some not so. You must figure out to what extent are you willing to go. And how often and how much of your self are you willing to lose in doing what it is that you do or what it takes for you to become successful. Or what it is that you will sacrifice in getting the job done. As to earning your income.

People often times are asking themselves why the other guy seems to be profiting and I am not? Well for one. Some will compromise all, to get a quick dollar, as some will not. And still others don't yet understand how to. And further still others feel like it is dirty or illegal to do it as some do.

And these are the natural warnings signs that still today kick in. And in some of us still this is a God given gift, this discernment ability. It seems to be fading ever so quickly today. And It is in Question as to Its being here tomorrow. Are there or do any honest citizens, still yet remain here today on the inter-net?

Instead of working hard some will opt to work in a devious way. Which in my opinion is all in all more work, that needs to be done. As some will opt to cheat or game the system that is already in place. Ask yourselves, why is this the case? Is there any reward in being dishonest or sneaky? Not really, not in the long run, it is only a way to Get Over in the short run! Why has this getting over become so popular? $$$$

It is in my opinion because we are entering the Last Season or the End Times. According to some we as a living organism. That are becoming ready to fully evolve to the next phase. Or into the next evolution of ourselves. And this might be the case, but it is I am afraid not the scenario that some think it could or might be. There is a next phase coming and it is a life and death changing experience that we all will face.

But until then How do we get others to follow us? It is easy really. Why is it that you follow others? I do it because they follow me. And I do it because they have some or most of the same interest as I do.

A few short years ago peoples attention spans were rather long compare to Todays attention span of zero or instant accountability and transparency. Yesterday the 2.7 second rule still applied itself to the marketeers business model. A little further back in time say the TV era this attention span was almost three whole minutes long.

So what is this telling us? Well for me it is saying marketeers are trying to shove the information down our throats like we were hungry little, Robin Red Breast hacthlings needing to be fed. And we are, we have been groomed to this current speed of super fast and available informations.

There is a need for a slow down for many of us. It is a little overwhelming these speeds, for the kids of today they have never enjoyed the leisure of seeking. It is all right there for you. There is so little time to form relationships. The ones that truly matter, when you are wishing to connect with a group or an individual.

We as publishers and site owners need to do only two things to win people over to follow us. Help them in some way, by solving or revealing ways to end their problems, or we must entertain the hell out of them, in some way. And there is unlimited ways to do both of these actions. Of course we will need to identify them and then provide them.

But the easiest way to get a following is to build one. How you are asking do we do this? I do it by following others within in my clicks, my hobbies, and my interests. Here at Hubpages when I get a comment I check out who made the comment and then I check out who their friends and followers are. At Facebook I do the same. And I try to do this across the board with every new Social networking site and/or Publisher I join.

Some days I will add friends and followers ten, twelve at a time and then, I'll go days without adding or maybe weeks without adding new ones, but when I first started I would add everyone and anybody and as many as I could, which only makes it harder to find out who is truly interested in your materials or works.

You can and it is easy to build big lists, but a targeted slow growing list, is where the value is. The good old standard, of I found an interesting site and then I told two friends and they told two friends is gone. When we find something new an interesting we tell everybody we know and when we have found a terrible site or one that has done us wrong! We will tell everybody and anybody whether we know them or not!

Word of mouth is a valuable commodity today and it is becoming the norm all over again. As word of mouth was the standard many years ago. Old things are becoming new once again. The great cycling's are occurring once again. Social Media is now taking the place of socializing, everything is so over casual. There is little or if any, deep bonding going on and we as a consumer based society, have bought into all of this and the shallowness of it all or the impersonal personnel sell. In other words we see more of each other and yet know less and care less.

So if we offer or give a little better attention to our visitors and customers we then become more interesting to them. The difference between good service and great service. They don't even compare to personnel service. But it is true we can't give everybody the personnel touch or can we? We must, if we wish to survive in todays fast track Society that we have created for ourselves.

Slow down! Take some time and be proud of what you are offering to your friends and followers. And you will have to beat them back, and off of your doorstep. For we all crave this personnel service that seems to be afforded to only the the rich, famous, and powerful. Treat every one as well as you can and be yourself and do your best. These values need to come back in style as they are tried and true ways of making friends and influencing followers to follow.
